The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
· Identity Data including forenames, last name, maiden name, date of birth, gender, marital status, and username or similar identifier
· Contact Data including home address, email address and telephone numbers
· Financial Data including bank statements, payment card details, savings, debts such as loan and credit cards, income & expenditure, employer & pension benefits, and other assets
· Special Category Data including medical history, trade union / political party membership costs and information relating to criminal convictions and offences
· Transaction Data including payments made for products and services you have purchased from us
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for the following reason:
· To source and apply for a mortgage and / or protection product
We may also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
· Estate agents with whom you may be interacting, but only with your consent;
· New home builders, as a legitimate interest in order to assess affordability for the property
We use the information that you have given us in order to:
· Source products, provide indicative quotes, and process and deliver your application for a mortgage or protection product;
· Manage our client relationship with you which will include:
o Notifying you about changes to our privacy policy;
o Re-engagement when existing products near expiry or protection needs change;
o Responding to case enquiries;
o Input to, and defence against, complaints.
· Perform an affordability check for a property on behalf of an Estate Agent or New Home Builder;
· Administer and protect our business.
We may share this information with:
· Meridian Mortgages – to comply with contractual terms;
· Mortgage Advice Bureau Group – to provide access to specialist product providers;
· Lenders and protection product suppliers – to source and apply for mortgage and or protection policies;
· Financial institutions – to source your bank account information via Open Banking with your consent;
· External suppliers – to deliver our service to you we may use specialist IT systems;
· Solicitors / Conveyancers – to update your solicitor or conveyancer regarding your application;
· Estate Agents / new home builders – provide results of affordability checks and the progress of your applications;
· Licensed Credit Agencies – for the purpose of obtaining a mortgage or protection policy;
· Regulators – in order to fulfil our legal obligation as a regulated profession, such as with the Financial Conduct Authority, to verify your identity, and comply with Anti Money Laundering legislation and otherwise co-operate with law enforcement, legal proceedings or regulatory authorities.

How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep personal information sufficient for, and limited to, that required to offer a review service for mortgage or protection policies arranged.
Such information is deleted whenever, and as soon as, consent for review is withdrawn.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
